About the company

This family business was the first in the Netherlands to start growing aubergines 40 years ago. And has grown to grow no less than 5 hectares! The aubergines are grown protected in greenhouses, where they work organically as much as possible. 

About the job

The work you will perform would be in a aubergines company. The most of the day you are:

• Cutting Aubergine from the plants and placing it in carts
• Leaf draw
• Lower the plants and spin the plants
• And all the kind of work that will be necessary to take care for a beautiful aubergine

The work can be learned in two weeks and the trainer will be there to guide you, you can quickly do everything independently. The work will always be done at daytime. 

Wat are you going to do?

Because you are working in a greenhouse, the temperature will vary depending on the outdoor climate. But the plants help lower the temperature so you can work in a pleasant climate.

• Good physical condition
• Be aware that you have to wear long sleeves to protect your arms. 
• Don’t be afraid of heights, you might work on a electric lift
• That you are motivated to work in the Netherlands

• Salary of €14,40 per hour
• 8,33% holiday money. The holiday money is paid once a year, in May
• You can expect around 38 hours
• After 38 hours it will be overtime and you get a 35% extra and if you work more then 10 hours a day it’s 150%
• Smoking is allowed, but only in the designated areas and during tea/lunch breaks

At this company works with different nationalities such as Polish and Romanian, so you can quickly find your way in your own language. In addition, there is an intercedent who can help with all you questions.
